Growing Practices:
Latin Name: A. hypogaea
Days to Maturity: 140
Description:
**SHIPS EARLY FEBRUARY 2026 DUE TO BEING OUT OF TOWN UNTIL THEN**
This is a late-maturing Ecuadorian peanut landrace that has done well for me. The peanuts are large in jumbo-sized shells with a beautiful variety of mauve and tan colors. The peanuts are flavorful as well. I would compare them most closely to jungle stripped peanuts, but these are more productive and reliable for me. I say 140 days to maturity, and I usually plant in June and harvest in early November. My conditions are not ideal and often I experience drought during pod set, so they take longer to mature. Under ideal conditions and planted early, they will likely mature earlier. If you can grow the jungle stripped peanuts, I highly recommend these. I received the original stock from GRIN under PI 628538.
Peanuts are sold in shell.
