Latin Name: A. hypogaea
Days to Maturity: 90
Description:
Little August Peanut is a productive peanut that is very early, maturing in about 90 days. it was named after the month of August because it was said one could get a crop in time before the first frost if they were planted by the first of August, which is rather late for most peanuts.
The size of the peanut is a little larger than Negrito Manduvi, and I find they are equally productive and resilient.
The taste is milder than Manduvi, but I also think most peanuts only have subtle differences in flavor. A great peanut for growing in most of the US so long as there are at least 90 days of good weather for them.
Peanuts are sold in-shell.
