Growing Practices:

Latin Name: x Triticosecale spp

Days to Maturity: 180

Description:

This is a winter planted triticale which large grain heads and seeds. It tillers very well and grows 3-4 feet tall with strong straw. It was planted early November and matured about mid-May.

Story of this Seed:

The seed originally came from Great Lakes Staple Seeds. I trailed two varieties of triticale in North Florida and found this one admirable for growing well and tall in our conditions.

Growing Tips:

This triticale did well on our heavy clay soil and is likely adaptable to a variety of conditions. I recommend fall planting it.
