Description:

Nu Mex Sandia-(Capsicum annuum)-This is a much smaller pepper than the Nu Mex Big Jim or Joe E. Parker pepper. It was developed by Dr. Roy Harper in 1956 by crossing a Nu Mex #9 with an Anaheim pepper. It produces pepper 5 to 7 inches long that ripen from green to scarlet red. It has a much higher heat than the Big Jim and is usually eaten red. The Nu Mex Sandia Chile plants grow just over 2 feet tall.
