About the Farm

I come from a long line of farmers spanning several generations. As a child, I worked in the garden as soon as I was old enough to pull weeds and carry a water bucket.
We always grew the majority of our own food and I continue that tradition to this day. I've been growing on the same plot of land for 30 years, improving the soil and production capacity with each passing year.

Our Commitment to Quality Seed

Because my farm grows for market, as well as for seed production, it's critical that I maintain pure seed stocks. The seed I produce is not just for seed sales, it's also the beginning of my next crop. I never allow all plants of a variety to go to seed; I select only the best few plants to become seed parents and I harvest all other plants for market sales. In this way, I ensure I have the strongest, most robust seeds available for planting... and so will you!

Our Growing Practices

I go a step beyond organic practices and actually grow chemical-free. This ensures that no residual chemicals of any type are found anywhere on my farm.
In this age of industrial agriculture, it's more important than ever to watch what we eat and reduce our intake of agri-chemicals.

Our Seed Farming Experience

I have a degree in horticulture, but my curiosity and knowledge of plants precedes any formal education. Nature is the best teacher!

Regional Adaptation

The seeds I sell have passed through many generations of production on my farm, and are well-adapted to my practices of chemical-free growing and minimal irrigation. This enables them to grow to maturity with little human intervention. Basically, once you get them started, there's little you'll have to do until harvest time!
