Description:

USDA Plant Introduction 618907: This Chinese trellising cucumber was the best yielding of hundreds of varieties in NC State’s 2008-2009 Downy Mildew-focused cucumber trial, and one of only two that did as well without fungicide as with it. Also good yields and foliage in Twin Oaks’ 2014 cucumber Downy Mildew trial. Foot-long dark green curved fruits with good crisp flavor. Makes good pickles when picked young, or if you only use the neck. Not otherwise available commercially. 35 seeds/g. Grown by Betsy Trice (Peacemeal Farm).
