ALABAMA RED OKRA SEEDS - VERY ATTRACTIVE PLANT WITH DEEP RED STEMS.

PROLIFIC PRODUCER, FAT PODS WITH GREEN AND RED VARIGATION

ORNAMENTAL EDIBLE PLANT

HEAT LOVING PLANT THAT REQUIRES 3-4 MONTHS OF WARM WEATHER.

VERY NUTRITIOUS AND TASTE GREAT.

OKRA IS GROWN WORLD WIDE.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO PREPARE THE OKRA.

Story of this Seed:

I ACTUALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE LOOK OF THIS PLANT BEFORE I EVER TRIED IT. ALABAMA RED MAKES A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY EDIBLE GARDEN AND CAN BE PLANTED AS YOU WOULD ANY ORNAMENTAL OR VEGETABLE PLANT. OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN GROWING OKRA FOR GENERATIONS. ALABAMA RED IS A GREAT ADDITION.

Growing Tips:

OKRA SEEDS ARE ROUND BEBE SIZE SEED WITH A HARD COATING. SOAKING THE SEEDS FOR 24 HOURS IN ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER MAY HELP THE GERMINATION OF THE SEED.

OKRA LOVES THE HEAT AND IT CAN BE GROWN ANYWHERE THAT HAS 3 TO 4 MONTHS OF WARM WEATHER. PLANT SEEDS DIRECTLY INTO THE GROUND OR START THE SEEDS EARLY IN CONTAINERS AND PLANT OUT AFTER THE LAST FROST DATE.

PLACE IN LOCATION WHERE THE PLANT WILL GET MAXIMUM SUN. LOVES RICH COMPOST MATERIAL/FERTILIZER AND WATER. NOT A BOG PLANT SO DO NOT LET THE ROOTS STAND IN WATER.

HARVEST THE OKRA PODS WHEN THEY ARE YOUNG AND TENDER. THE MORE YOU HARVEST, THE MORE THE PLANT WILL PRODUCE.
