Story of this Seed:

MY GREAT UNCLE BILL WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO GROW THIS GREAT PUMPKIN THAT I CAN REMEMBER. HE PASSED THE SEEDS DOWN THROUGH THE FAMILY. THIS IS A NICE SMALL PUMPKIN THAT CAN BE INCORPORATED INTO ANY GARDEN.

Growing Tips:

THIS IS HOW WE GROW THE PUMPKINS IN ZONE 9B. PLEASE RESEARCH TO SEE HOW TO GROW THIS GREAT PUMPKIN IN YOUR AREA.

PUMPKINS CAN BE GROWN ANYWHERE THAT RECEIVES AT LEAST FOUR MONTHS OF WARM TEMPERATURES AND FULL SUN. PRESOAK THE SEEDS FOR A FEW HOURS AND PLACE ONE SEED PER CELL/POT. USE PREMOISTENED SOIL MEDIUM OF YOUR CHOICE. PLACE IN A BRIGHT, WARM LOCATION AND DO NOT LET THE MEDIUM DRY OUT. ONCE THE SEEDLINGS ARE SEVERAL INCHES TALL AND HAVE 2-3 SETS OF LEAVES, THEY CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO THEIR FINAL GROWING LOCATION.

SEEDS CAN BE SOWN DIRECTLY INTO THE GROUND AFTER THE LAST FROST DATE IF WISHED.

LEAVE THE PUMPKINS ON THE VINE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. HARVEST WHEN THE PUMPKIN HAS COLORED, SOUNDS A LITTLE HOLLOW WHEN THUMPED AND THE STEM HAS TURNED A BROWNISH SHADE AND HAS BECOME WOODY. CUT THE STEM. PUMPKIN CAN BE EATEN IMMEDIATELY OR IF STORING WILL NEED TO BE CURED IN A COOL, SHADY LOCATION. TURNING OCCASSIONALY IS OF BENEFIT.
